Designer Housewife

We have been working on this project for a month but finally have it done!  We applied 4-5 coats of magnetic paint and then 2-3 coats of chalkboard paint! This way we can hang things magnetically also.  We also mounted 4 cork board squares and a calendar to help with organization.  I would also like to add a couple bins for papers and all Kendall's school stuff!  We decided to do a whole wall in our mud room.  We pass by it everyday to leave and thought it would be the perfect place to keep everything we need.  So far we love it and Kendall enjoyed drawing on it last night.  I'm still getting over the mess it makes every time you draw on it but I'm sure I will!

We had our Jorgensen family Christmas on the Sunday after Christmas!  The girls opened a ton of gifts and fun playing with new games and toys!  And of course we ate more! Ella tearing into her gift Getting rid of the wrapping paper Yeah!  Game and Justin Bieber! Diapers and food for Baby Alive Papa wants her to learn her states Ella slowly opening Kendall playing in her favorite thing... a box Grandma even got to play Hedbanz

Kendall got out of school early on December 22nd and was on break until January 3rd.  I went to eat lunch with her on her birthday!  She was excited!  Friday afternoon Joe started his Christmas break and we went to the Nutcracker.  It was really good and there is not a bad seat in the new Kauffman Performing Arts building.  I was worried she wouldn't be able to see but she could've from any seat. Picnic lunch at school on her Birthday! At the Nutcracker! I was hoping you could see the stage:( We had a play date at the YMCA while on break!  Kendall and Shelby had fun and I even made it down the slide a few times! New iPhone camera isn't that great!

We had a crazy December with Kendall's birthday parties and other friend's birthdays but we didn't forget Christmas!  Kendall had her Christmas party at dance on the 19th and had lots of fun! Her Kindergarten Holiday party was on the 21st!  All the kids had a great time! Kendall with friends in her class including BF Shelby! My Christmas gift project! We said goodbye to Keegan:( Our cute stockings! Our beautiful new 9ft tree! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We are having the Jorgensen Christmas on Sunday the 1st so more pictures of Christmas to come!

A few friends got together to bake cookies and catch up on our busy lives!  Each of us brought ingredients for something to make!  We had sugar cookies with frosting, sugar cookies with snickers in them, gooy cornflakes, cranberry cream cheese snickerdoodles, peppermint meltaways, candy cane cookies and pretzel bites!  Of course we had to sample all the goods and everything was very yummy!  Tis the season!

Kendall celebrated her birthday again on the 17th with some of her friends!  We started at the splashing at the YMCA pool and finished with pizza at Pizza Shoppe!  She had a great time! Kendall at the pool! Ella enjoyed splashing around! Fun on the slide... again! Awesome Strawberry Shortcake cake!   She had a half day of school on her actual birthday the 22nd.  So she took cookies and I ate lunch with her and her friends!  After Joe got home from work we took her to the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie and again... pizza was her dinner choice.  Happy Birthday baby girl!

I wanted something festive and lit for my dining room table because you can see it from the road.  This is what it ended up.  Also Keegan made it into the picture peeking out of the china!
