Designer Housewife

This year for Halloween Kendall was Pippi Longstockings and Kiernan was a ladybug.  They got lots of candy!

I can't believe it is October already.  It's football season (aka Husker season) the cool weather has come in and the leaves are a changing!  October is a big month at our house of both remembering and celebrating.  Both things lead me to reflect on how precious life is.  Six years ago all the plans I had for life and my family changed drastically.  Today Kendall is thriving and I'm married to a great guy and Kendall finally got the little sister she wanted.  A lot has changed in six years but we are surviving and loving our life!  Kiernan celebrated her 1st birthday and Kendall has been busy with cheer and gymnastics!   Kiernan's 1st Birthday cake! Katie Ann Photography took her 1 year pictures.  They turned out awesome.  We love our little pumpkin! Family joined us for the big party! She ate every bit of her cupcake! We visited the pumpkin patch on a breezy Monday but the girls had fun and I got some good pictures!  

School started the middle of August and Kendall headed back to Siegrist Elementary to start 2nd grade.  We also celebrated Will's baptism and Pirate Homecoming in September. Kendall started school the middle of August. Kendall got to wish her luck on her first day! Cheering at the kick-off pep rally! Baby Will was baptized. My little Husker fans! The summer is over:(  Boo.  We had a good summer filled with firsts for Kiernan and Kendall busy with soccer, softball and gymnastics.  This is a recap of some fun things we did! Kendall played in a very hot soccer tournament. The whole family went to the Royals/Cardinal game.  Daddy dressed her. Kiernan got dressed by Mommy in better clothes:) Kendall played softball.   Kiernan watched softball. We went to the neighborhood pool. Celebrated the 4th of July in Iowa at the lake. Built sand castles. Roasted marshmallows at the lake with Mema & Papa Papa showing us how it is done. Went for boat rides. Splashed again at the pool. Went on a girls trip to Chicago. Attended Dance Camp!

We had a busy May.  Kendall finshes up Gymnastics as a Galactic Girl and will move into Pre-Team this summer.  She will start two nights a week for three hours.  We will try it out for the summer and see how she likes it.  She says gymnastics is her favorite. She had a performance on May 11th to show off all her skills on vault, trampoline, bars, floor and balance beam.  It was fun to watch and Kiernan even got to try:) This year Kendall danced at Diane's studio.  Our fall was so busy we didn't have time until January to start but they have large classes and got her in!  This year her recital was in May!  She performed two dances, tap to Raindrops keep Falling on My Head and a hip hop to I like to Move It.  She had a great recital!
